How is external information processed? The course investigates select sensory organs. Student explore sensation and perception anatomy and basic physiology, which include lab investigations. Exploration also includes understanding how the brain is the processing and integration center of external information.
Students investigate the discrepancy between sensation and perception, and why it occurs. They explore electrochemical reactions within the nervous system.This is a wonderful course for understanding some fundamentals of neurobiology. This course is not recommended for students who have food allergies.
