Young people love making and mixing "potions." Things happen! This course is terrific for those young people who want to observe reactions, may have memorized the periodic table of elements and would benefit from learning why certain mixtures causes reactions and others do not. This course turns discrepant events into science, teaching young experimenters the science behind the magic. Students learn whether reactions are reversible or irreversible, about catalysts, acidity and alkalinity, important lessons in lab safety and much more.
