Did you know that there are more microorganisms living in/on you than cells in your body? This course is a hands-on introduction to microorganisms and plant and cell biology. Students even explore the human microbiome. It is a wonderful introduction for students who want to:
• Investigate what can be seen with a microscope and how one works
• Make microscope slides
• Creatively explore whether structure relates to function in the microscopic world, including at the nanotech scale.
This is a wonderful course for the junior naturalist or budding microbiologist or any child interested in understanding the building blocks we are made of!
